He came, he left we are just friends

Well the title about sums up the week with Jean Paul!
Right after Thanksgiving I started second guessing the whole relationship. Jean Paul is a great man he is kind and nice and will make some girl very happy. That girl will not be me.
Most of the time he was here I was doing the talking. And I had run out of things to say. All of his answers were about one word, and yes that got annoying.
We spent many hours playing go fish....I can only play that so much.
I will give a better update later....just borrowing the library computer since our computer stopped working before Christmas.
Happy New Year!!

I just wanted to say this. This is my blog and the things I write are my opinions. I do not write things to offend others. I simply put how I am feeling at the moment. I am sorry if I have offended people that was not my intent. MERRY CHRISTMAS Everyone!!!

Alive

Yes I am still alive. Life has been crazy. We went 61 hours without power. I swear it took me hours to get warm again. Thankfully we have power again and we had a gas fireplace and lots of blankets.
Jean Paul comes in 18 days....I have a huge basket of emotions about this.
He arrives Christmas Eve and goes home the 30th so we have a few days to do many things. So many choices.
Just wanted to mention a few last things I am grateful for:
Amazing Leaders to promote a neighborhood cleanup after our huge storm,
good friends,
warm house,
microwave,
furnace,
hot showers,
cars with a working heater,
grandparents close by,
my family,
the Gospel
 and Jean Paul!!
Have a good week!!

Ooops I am a little behind

Hey Everyone!!!
Yes I am still alive. Things have been crazy! I am grateful for so many things. Today I am grateful for a car that helps me get to work and all of the places I need to go. I am also grateful for this little boy name Carter that I get to hang out with tonight. He is such a doll. I am blessed to have amazing grandparents who will do anything for me. I am grateful to have many places to buy food and a job to pay for this food.
I am grateful for a great friend name ALEX MOODY who called me this morning just to chat. I needed that. I miss her she is far away in Maryland...Thankfully I'll be able to see her in December
I am grateful for the cute girls in my ward who love to ask me about JP. One cute girl named Katelyn said she just likes to ask cause she loves to see my face light up!! Ha ha.
I think this should be enough gratitude!!
JP comes in 36 days!! Man i am so excited! Have a great Wednesday!

Feeling gratitude throughtout the day

Obviously I dont know how to count last post was suppose to be 4 and 5.
So today I am doing 6 and 7. Our internet wasnt working very well yesterday so I didnt get a chance to post.
 6. I am so grateful for my ward and the many friends I have met. Yesterday we were told that we will be getting a new bishopric next Sunday. I am so sad about this. Bishop Thatcher is a great man. He is always willing to help...always a smiling face to greet you at church. Brother Clarkson has been an amazing counselor. He is an wonderful cook...campouts were awesome with him. I am going to miss them both so much. I have a sneaking suspicion that Uncle Reed will be staying in. So this week I need to make them cookies or something.
7. I am grateful for technology. Who would have thought that computers and internet would be so popular. I am so glad that I can email JP from my phone on lunch break or send him a quick text. And that we can chat everynight on the phone. I can keep track of friends and family near and far with facebook and blogs. We are lucky to live in this day and age.
Along with my wedding obsession I have this great friend who makes wedding videos and I absolutely love them. I get so excited when he posts a new video. He owns a company called Digital Memorys Video Productions. http://digitalmemorys.blogspot.com/  He does a great job!! I am in love with his work.....maybe he will do my wedding video!!! :)

Weddings

I have a confession. I love weddings. I love to look at engagement pictures I love to look at Bridals. I love to hear the engagement story. I love to go to receptions and see the happy couple and then see what they have put together for the wonderful night.
Needless to say I love it. I have loved it for quite awhile and its not just because I am in love!
So that is my obsession of the month. Happy Snow day!

Blessed

3. I didnt make it to the computer yesterday. And I can't blog on my phone. So today I will have 3 and 4 on one post. I am very grateful for my job. I have the oppurtunity to help young minds. Every day is a new adventure.
4. I am so grateful for the wonderful women that I work with. Last night a bunch of the girls got together and spent some time laughing and eating chocolate. What a fun night we had!!! Thanks Candi for hosting.
Yesterday my friend Cambria got married. She looks so beautiful. Sadly I only got one picture and it wasnt of the bride. Cam married one of the guys from our high school. So it was like a little DHS 01 reunion. Great to see you Court and Sarah and all the other people I didnt care to see haaha. She had the reception at Salt Lake Hardware Building, such a cool artistic place. Cam and Jared had a hot chocolate bar....I have never seen one at a reception and I actually liked it. It was perfect for a cold night. Congrats Cambria and Jared!!!

 HAPPY SATURDAY!!!!

Gratitude

I am so grateful for my grandparents. They are amazing people. They are always giving and doing anything to help their grandkids. I love them so much. Just last night Grandma JoAnn was checking on me and making sure I have everything I need. She always asks about that man...aka Jean Paul. I would not have been able to go to Utah State without my grandparents. Grandpa Wade is an inspiration always fighting! Have a great Thursday!!
Yay its the weekend almost. I am so so so excited for Bones season Premiere tonight. 51 days tell the MAN comes. WAHOOOOOOO

For the month of November I thought I would post some things I am grateful for.

2. I am grateful for my amazing family. My parents are great and so helpful. My siblings are wonderful....its nice to have sisters and even brothers. Watch for a new family photo coming soon. Even the boys got haircuts!

Vacation Time

Every year in October we have UEA break. When I was little we used to go to Colorado and it was so fun! I miss those days...we'd spend time on Whiting Rd, watching football games, shopping, going to Russel Stovers and just having a blast. Then we grew up, Ellen passed away and we just stopped going.
This UEA I am planning on sleeping in and cleaning. Tomorrow we are having a Paparazzi Party at my house. All Jewerly is $5 dollars. And they have cute stuff...if you are in town stop by from 6:30-8:30.

I just checked my stats and it says I have someone checking my blog from Russia. I dont know anyone from Russia but welcome. Tonight I hope to stop at a custard place with Grandma JoAnn...Lemon Cream her favorite flavor.

Jean Paul is doing well. His phone hasnt been working so we havent been able to chat. I miss him... I was grumpy yesterday because I didnt get to talk to him. He is loving his job. He ususally works 5 days a week. We text during the day and talk every night before bed. I am counting down the days til he'll be here. Two months and 5 days!! Wahoo! I am going to make a countdown chain this weekend!

I am so sad that the Casper's will be moving this weekend. I am going to miss them terribly!!
This past weekend Becca and I were able to go to Ikea with them. Man Tressa has to go to every part of the store. Needless to say I slept very well that night.
Here are some sweet pictures from the trip.
Alex and Ali and AJ and I went bowling on Saturday night...we walked up from the Huerta's apartment and passed this super expensive pumpkin!
                                                               Shay and Roxy

Notice Creepy Tressa in the back!

Happy OCTOBER!!!

Consideration

So a person close to our family has been throwing parties for her daughter. And we have not recieved an invite. It is starting to piss me off. Of course I learn about it off of blogs and facebook. But I just wonder what is going through this mom's head. I guess we arent that close. No wedding invite for them. Ha ha jk there has to be a ring first.

My boyfriend Jean Paul

I cant write on my blog without talking about talking about the love of my life. I have never been this happy. I had no idea that one person could make me so happy. Jean Paul and I still talk on the phone everyday and throughtout the day we send text messages. Isnt technology great? He is planning on coming down just before Christmas for a few days. I am getting really excited for this day. We have talked about many things this week and I love learning more about him. He did tell me a little about his conversion. The missionaries came to his cousins door looking for her and found him. He started reading the Book of Mormon and taking the discussions. I am so grateful that he was there that day. I believe it was a miracle and meant to happen. I love this man!! I know that it is crazy that we have never met but I have such strong feelings for him. I am one happy girl!!
I am a little sad this month because my dear friends the Caspers will be moving to their new home. I will miss being able to run across the street and talk to them. They have two adorable girls that I just adore! Roxy was concerned that I wouldnt know where they live. Every time I go over Shay yells STAY STAY no matter what is going on. I sure do love them. Here is a recent pic of me and Roxy.

Enjoy your sunday!

JOSH

I just wanted to write a quick post about Josh. Josh turned 18 in August and he has turned into quite the young man. He went to Homecoming last night and he looked so handsome. Amy and I helped pick out a tie for him to match his date's dress. Amy and I had fun but then again we like the mall.

Josh has been playing football for Davis for three years now. He has recovered from his knee injury. It still hurts him and he ices often. It is nice to have him wear the brace so we can pick him out in the sea of football players. I love you Josh and I am proud of you. Josh does well in school and is getting alot of information from different schools! He is one smart kid.

Oh and Congrats to ANYA

My dear friend Anya finally had a boy. She has two girls and she had Miles Tucker on Friday. He is a cute little boy. I cant wait to meet him. Congrats ANYA

OCTOBER!!

Can you believe that it is already October? September flew by so fast. I hope the trend continues. I want to meet Jean Paul so badly!!! As of right now he will be flying in Christmas Eve....great Christmas present right? He doesn't know how long he will stay. I told him I would like him to stay forever but we all know that isn't going to happen.
This week was a little crazy. I missed some class on Tuesday and went and did Baptisms for the Dead with some people from my ward. It was so peaceful inside. I haven't been to the temple in awhile so it was wonderful to be there.
I just realized the picture is a little crooked oops!
School has been going really well. I am happy with how the classes have been going. The kids are happy and I am happy.
So otherwise no other big happenings. Becca and I have been planning some wedding things but anything is possible.  The Brigham City Temple should be finished next year. But I would really want to get married in the Logan Temple. Yes I know that we havent met yet but I am in love!
They just announced yesterday that they will be building a Temple in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is in the capital where JP is from. The first temple in the DRC. Anyways have a great week!!
And no Nancy I will not tell you I have been complaining about. She might read this but unlikely!
HAPPY OCTOBER!
PS is it too early to make a paper chain to count the days til JP comes?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA JOANN

On Wednesday the 21th of September Grandma JoAnn turned the big 75! I love my grandma. She is the best grandma a girl could ask for. She has always been willing to help me any way she can. My grandparents helped pay for my years at USU....I couldnt have survived without it. Grandma always let me go on trips with her when I was younger. I got to go to Colorado and Kanab. She would take us to the zoo and on picnics. I am excited to celebrate her birthday on Sunday...the betenson family is getting together for a party. With Cake and Ice Cream and one of grandma's favorite things Navajo Tacos.
We are calling it NavaJoanna Tacos. Nancy's idea of course! I love you Grandma. Thank you for being so supportive....she has even been supportive of me dating Jean Paul.
On a side note where has common courtesy gone? I am about fed up with this person! Have a wonderful weekend!

Soap Box, School and JEAN PAUL

I just want to get to get on my soap box for a bit.
It drives me crazy when people just do the minimum to help you. Why even if help you if you arent going to be helpful? Also do you really need to take pictures of yourself in your bathroom everyday? We dont need to see it...you look self absorbed.
Okay I am done!
Anyways LIFE has been really good! Right after Labor Day my cousin Mindy on my Dad's side got married. She was married in Millcreek Canyon at Log Haven. What a beautiful place. Here is a cute picture of the little girls and me.

I made it through 12 sessions of preschool! Only one major problem train tracks on this poor boys head. And no I didnt do it. The kids were pretty hyper on Thursday which didnt help me since I spent the whole night before at the Fair. But overall I happy with the class and how they are doing. I have some of the cutest kids! I really do enjoy my job!
Isn't this a cute pencil? It's made out of Rolo's!
Some quick pictures at the fair! It was so much fun...Thanks for coming with me Katie!
This is a 897 pound pumpkin!
How can you not love this place?
Katie Newbold and I having some delicious Funnel Cake!

And now for my favorite subject.... Jean Paul! Oh man I am in love with this man. I  never thought I would say that about a man that I have never met.We talk on the phone everyday..we text and sometimes we email. He is such a sweet man. I can not wait til December. I had hopes of going up for UEA but i dont see that happening unless I win the lottery. And dont worry we arent getting married in December.;..some of my work friends have been asking that but it wont be happening!!! As most of you know he is a recent convert so it'll take awhile for things to get ready. He is a  nurse in Everett, his mom and sister Charolette live in the Congo. We have talked about going to visit them, I have never left the country so the thought excites  me a lot! I need to learn French though. JP said he will teach me when he comes to Utah. We have been working on a few phrases. He has never been married and doesnt have kids. And yes he does want to have kids I wouldnt serious date someone who didnt want kids. I love kids...look at my profession. Is this enough details for you Anya? Ask any questions and I will tell you the answers. I just dont know what to write!
Well I am off to church. Have a wonderful week! Happy Birthday to the best Grandma in the world on Wednesday!
Lvoe you Grandma JoAnn

One Month

It's weird to think that I have know Jean Paul for a whole month. I have talked to him constantly for this whole month. And I have enjoyed every minute of it! I have learned quite a lot about him. For some reason he thinks I talk a lot I dont know why he thinks this. So suffice to say I am a pretty happy girl. I am getting excited for December although it seems forever away. I might have to go up during UEA or something.....but who knows. I know it's three months away but where shall I take JP? Any great idea? I have already thought about Temple Square thankfully the lights will still be on. So romantic! Everyone has mentioned how they want to meet him so I guess I'll have a party or something.
Can't wait til I have picture of the both of us!!!
Good thing school starts tomorrow so I can stop day dreaming and get to work.
I am excited for this new school year. It is going to be a challenge...new position, new school, new team new kiddos. I am ready for it though! I have been coloring like mad and cutting papers...getting file folders ready, copying.
So have you ever met someone who is pretty self absorbed? They talk about only them and there children. So annoying!!! Just had to say that.
 Have a wonderful Labor Day!

Boyfriend

I have some good news!!! As most of you know I have been emailing a man named Jean Paul. This past week or so we have been able to talk on the phone each night. I had no idea that you could get butterflies from emails and phone calls!! I really, really, really, like him. We have been chatting about pretty serious things from the get go. And yesterday he asked me to be his girlfriend! I have never had a boyfriend so I am pretty stoked about this. He wants to be my first boyfriend and my last boyfriend. And I am very willing to let that happen. I can't wait for him to come visit in December. Which really is only three months away. It will go by fast since work started yesterday and Davis High Football. So I will keep myself busy. We still email twice a day. I get so excited when I read his emails. This is the only picture I have of him. More pictures to come.
So yes he is very black. I love that he had to put a white screen behind him so you could see him. I am very happy!
Side note: I went to my first faculty meeting yesterday! I feel like such a grown up. I met the principal and she seems really nice and funny. This next week I am going to be slaving away in the classroom trying to get everything ready. Well I am off to Bear Lake. Got to live the last days of summer to the fullest!

Hilarious Trip to Kanab

My mom's family had a reunion in Kanab on Saturday. Becca and I traveled down on Thursday with grandma and grandpa Betenson. Just out of Bountiful  my grandma asked when we were going to eat. We stopped and got a ice cream cone in Scipio and then headed on to Richfield. Grandma again mentioned lunch...Grandpa says Is that all we are going to do is eat?
Becca and I were able to spend time with our Holland cousins. It was a blast. We experienced the Prickly Pear and Art Gallery. Went on a tour of Kanab mostly past Maddie's boyfriends houses. And were serenaded by Devin. Nicole and James let us sleep at their house. Thank you Nicole. Nicole even made us breakfast it was wonderful. Friday and Saturday we spent our days at Western Legends and with the family. I will write more about that later. Here are a few pictures of the weekend!

Jean Paul

Good Morning!
Oh what a beautiful day it is going to be! The sun is shining and the sky is blue. So I know many of you have been wondering about my new love interest. His name is Jean Paul. My neighbor Tressa's mom gave him my email. He lives in Everett, Washington. We have been talking for about a week....just emailing. He moved from the Congo. He is a recent convert to the church. I really like him..I look forward to his emails. We usually email twice a day. This is not an announcement....he isnt considered my boyfriend yet.  We just live one day at time and enjoy learning about each other. Of course I am still being a little cautious...I am not  moving to Washington any time soon. There is a brief synopsis of my life.
Now to get back to packing and coloring. Going to Kanab this weekend!!!!!

Yuba Lake with some amazing people

Have you ever been to Yuba Lake? I have often passed the sign outside of Nephi (Exit 202), but never been. This past week I had the opportunity to join my friends from my YSA ward at Yuba. It was so so fun! We spent our days at the Lake in boats, on the tramp and in the pebbles. We had scrumptious food thanks to the Clarkson's. I met lots of new people and learned things about myself that I didn't even know. One day on the boat, my dear friend Ashley informs me that I am a big flirt. I had never thought of myself as a flirt...I usually despise the girls who talk to every boy and play with their emotions. Have I become one of those girls in my old age? When we got back to camp I talked to my friends and it was unanimous I am a big flirt. I guess I like to have fun and we all know that I am friendly so I guess it was bound to happen.
As many of you know my Uncle Reed is in the bishopric of my Singles Ward. At first I was pretty apprehensive about this...I like to have my space. I have actually enjoyed it. On this trip I was able to get to know my aunt and uncle better. When I was younger we used to do things together, but that stopped once everyone was teenagers.
I am constantly amazed how you can put a group of LDS Singles who are acquainted and end up with budding friendships. I knew a about half of the group on the way down to Yuba and now I feel like I know most of them. I gained a lot of new friends...guys and girls. I am ecstatic about it! So grateful for my religion and the many blessings it brings. The church is true! Have a wonderful Monday...off to get ready for school. Ah I am getting nervous.

FRUSTRATIONS

I have felt frustrated about somethings lately. I have been trying to organize my fall work schedule. With my new job I will be working ten more hours plus TONS of more responsibilty. I have felt so blessed with this promotion. I now will have Health Insurance which i've not had for two years, I am getting a raise, more hours and the joy of running my own class. With this new job I will most likely lose some of my friend and hang out time, plus I wont be able to work with the Soper's as much.

Most of you who know me, know how much I love this family. E was one of my first preschoolers and one day her mom mentioned needing a respite worker. I quit Target and the rest is history. Four summers and four school years later I still work with them. Mr C man just turned 12 and he is going into Jr High, what a priviledge it has been watching him grow up. I have been able to hang out with E and O and C everyday. They have become part of my family, E always wanted a sister. I have learned so much from the Soper's. My patience has been tested and I have grown so much. I have a great love for their family and especially C. Austism is such a trying disease/disorder. My love for Special Ed kids has grown immensely.
Everyone goes through trials..small, medium and big ones. This blog has been my release from stress and life.  One of my biggest frustrations has been the way people treat others. No one knows what you are going through. You can pretend or say you know what they are going through, but you aren't in their shoes. I believe everyone needs to take a step back and think about others. I try to do this but I know I can do this more. I need to work more on trying to respect and see where others are coming from. I know Satan is working really hard on me and knowing that I have a hard time with the fact that I'm not married and starting my own family. I hope for this someday, I just have to keep bettering myself and being the best I can be. Just remember everyone struggles single, married, divorced, widowed.

Well I must be off I need to prepare my lesson for tomorrow. Oh church calling :$

Where has summer gone?

I can't believe that it is almost August. I had so many plans this summer and I dont feel like I accomplished everything. I have done a lot though. June was spent celebrating Birthdays. As you know my mom turned the big 50 and we had a HUGE party at Gailey Park. We had a huge turnout and some of the ward friends were able to meet my amazing family. We spent a lot of time celebrating. Becca is now 22 and we took a trip to Gardner's Village for the birthdays. My mom loves Gardner's Village so we got a few birds with one stone. If you have never been to Gardner's Village you need to visit. They are have a delicious restaurant in an old Silo. Cute boutiques and of course a candy shop. The candy shop has homemade fudge! We got cute rose buds and made them into earrings.

I have had the oppurtunity to get to know a family quite well that lives in my neighborhood. The Casper's live across the street from me.  You can read more about them at http://johncaspersjourney.blogspot.com Tressa is the mom and she is a very talented women. John has been struggling with Cancer for at least three years. Our neighboorhood had a yard sale for them and Will also spoke about the blog on 1280 THE ZONE. A very nice, generous annoymous man has given them two 1,000 dollar checks. The neighborhood raised at least 2,000 dollars for them. I have been constantly amazed at the out pour of love.
